Meeting called to order at 6:03 p.m.

The June Board meeting minutes were not approved because we did not have a quorum.

Old Business:
Summer series No. 3: This race went well. It could have been more expensive with the meals from Victory
Lane but that worked out okay. Some confusion about the announcer. Might consider having the race at Rio
Vista Park in 2008 to make use of the barbecue facilities.

Summer series No. 4: This race had a couple issues, steven provided the wrong file to Sandra. Also, over
30 registration forms did not have a bib number on them for data entry purposes. Beyond that, the race
went well even though the numbers were lower than expected.

Financial report: The club has money

Clothing report: Clothing sales have slowed a little. Probably a need to stock up for the fall races.

Registration report: Sandra Fontaine had no new business to report.

New business:
Summer series No. 5: Because of over-estimates of entries for race #4, the club will not have to purchase
water. Sports Authority and Adidas will be sponsors for this race.

Try to find some people to come onto the board. Lindsay and Sharon will not be returning.

Spike will be attending the Thanksgiving Day race.

Nothing new on Starlight Elementary School. Maybe something will happen with the beginning of the school
year.

Sharon will pursue prices for custom made water bottles.

William Rowell is going to talk to a local distributor about having ARR Water at club races.

Discussed the best way to dispense water at races. Using individual water bottles is easier to dispense
but it would be nicer to distribute it differently to decrease the amount of waste.
The City of Surprise wants to stage a race in conjunction with the Super Bowl (last week in January 2008). steven finkelstein provided a bid from ARR for this race.

Sandra reported that she and Robert looked over a potential 30K course in Gilbert. Some road crossings

Frank Cuda has given the club first aid kits and a blood pathogen kit. He has a place available in Williams
that is available for the club to use
