What is the Arizona Road Racers?
The club was incorporated in November, 1970, as a non-profit organization to promote running
for health and fitness. The ARR is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Does the ARR stage races?
Presently, the club produces over 25 runs of all types annually, from 5Ks to 50 milers. In
addition, the club assists at many additional runs, providing equipment and expertise to
organizations to raise funds for worthwhile projects.
How does the ARR time races?
The ARR uses the championChip timing system to time a majority of its races. The ChampionChip
system allows for quick and efficient timing of races whether the number of entrants is 100
or 1000.
