Local Running Groups

If you are looking for local groups to run with, you've come to the right place!

Since it is impossible for us to keep up with all of the listed groups, we strongly encourage you to contact the listed person before showing up to a group workout for the first time. If you find that any of the information below is incorrect (disconnected phone numbers, invalid email addresses, erroneous location/time info, etc.), please email ARR Running Groups.  In addition, feel free to contact us if you have questions or know of any established local running groups we may have missed.

Note: The symbol means there is no cost associated with the group. $ indicates that there is a cost involved, though the group may offer certain services for free.

Verde Valley Area Clarkdale Sunday Mornings
We're a small, friendly group of local runners, 2-10, who have been meeting on most Sunday mornings for over 10 years.  Most the time we meet at a place called Pecks Lake in Clarkdale and run laps around the lake.  Each lap is about 4.5 miles and we do anywhere from 2-5 laps, depending on the distance of the event for which we're training.  We generally run at conversation pace, except for lap 3 which is usually done at tempo speed and which afterwards we regroup again for the 4th lap.  We also try to carpool to races, especially in Phoenix where we run 10-15 a year, mainly in the fall, winter and spring.  Sometimes we get together for a mid-week tempo run or track workout.  No pre-scheduled time for those. It's best to give one of us a call before coming as some weeks there's nobody who shows up.  Contact Romano Scaturro (928-634-4063) or Jim Bostwick  (928-300-8102)
