We know you like to have fun, and we know how great the members of Arizona Road Racers are -- so let's get together! Below are the upcoming social events that ARR has planned. Weekend in Ashfork
Friday, July 30 to Sunday, August 1, 2010 - Location: Juniperwood Ranch Winery in Ashfork
  • A weekend of running and other activities in the cool Northland. Join the ARR in the cool temperatures of northern Arizona. There is a $20 per person fee to cover the cost of food and drinks. Must RSVP, please.

Camp Fire, Marshmallows, Movie, Moonlight Basketball, Wine Tasting
SaturdaySaturday Morning 6-8am Smith Mtn Run (4-9 miles)
Enjoy a tree-lined trail to open pastures/corrals at Smith Mtn and /or continue through Partridge Creek where you can view cliff faces, steep canyon walls and indian drawings as you run through washes and along cattle trails.
Bagel Breakfast 7-9am
Saturday Morning Check-in 6-9am
Heptathlon Registration 2-min Basketball Shoot-Out
20 throw Horse Shoe Tourney
10 Long Drive Urban Golf
Target Disc Golf 9 Hole
Mile Trail Run (Name Your Finish Time)
Other activities: Pond Swimming/Fishing (1 mile run to a pond where you can swim from the dock or fish) or Petroglyphs (Indian drawings) Hike (3 miles, back side of pond where many arrowheads, pottery, and drawings can be found). Chili and Hot Dogs 4-6pm available

Wine Tasting 6-7pm

Movie 7pm-10pm

SundaySunday Morning Run to the Pond or Petroglyphs 4-8 miles
Partridge Creek Loop, Al-Ann Loop or Ranch House Café (out-&-back) along an abandoned section of Route 66 10-12 miles or Cathedral Caverns (out-&-back) 14 miles.
Bagels or Sharon’s Special Breakfast 7-9am Horse Shoe Teams (double elimination)
2-on-2 or Horse Basketball
Kick Ball or Soft Ball
Scavenger Hunt on the Trails
Other stuffOther points of interest: Ash Fork Museum (open upon request), Steel Dam, Stone Dam, Space Ship, Limestone Kiln, Wine Tasting, Williams Train Ride, Deer Farm, Grand Canyon Caverns, Route 66, Seligman, Devils Crater a 200' Sink Hole.
